Well if anyone is interested, i managed to find a petronix II ignitor in the states for about $80. with a nice shiny new power coil, shipping and import duties, i paid no more than £100.00

Bargain or what. seen pertronix II over here for £190. so that was quite a saving.

you have to watch the ignitor 2 as it doesnt like to fire at low RPM
no good on an older vehicle on a cold morning, ignitor 1 seems fine tho
