I've got one and put all the wiring in but not fitted it yet. could of done with it in Wales to save all the frowning when people finally went past me on the hills

Love it but can see it potentially causing problems. Some drivers may see it as a green light to overtake. Would hate to hit the button on some old lady and she pulls out into an oncoming car.

Hi,

Had one for ages, the guy on ebay must have a massive NOS job lot, thery have been around for ages!

I wired mine into the rear heated screen wiring, as the element on the screen isnt working, but the feed is, so just pull out the screen knob, green light on, pass light on..

Cheers,

Alistair

You just gave me a  moment for what to do with my knackered rear de-mist knob!

The lens bit is just red see through plastic with a black print on it, and the paper work suggests you can get other messages. Does make for an interest thought as to what you'd really like to put on a light on the back of your bus for drivers behind :msn4:

There not NOS just mass produced in the far east using an old process "NOS Style", they can look the biz though and yep any message you want.....

My setup, connected to the rear window heater switch

nice one, i just bought one thinking of fixing it to jail bars too wire do the wires run ?

I like these and was gonna get one but I'm just not 100% sure it wouldn't look like a brake light coming on and actually end up being a bit confusing??

Wires run trough the tubes of the jailbar, it's practibly invisible ;)

your bus has some real neat touches. already stole your rev counter type and mount and now this :msn4: one question, what stops the uprights your light is fixed to from moving or is it just friction. make that two questions, what are they made from.

thanks for the inspiration

Thanks for the nice words guys :D :D

The uprights are made of some flatbar polished aluminim 25x3mm or 20x2mm (have to check that) and i made the holes very tight so they won't move.
I have some more ideas in my mind for some other nice touches/details so.....stay tuned

doubt you would be legally liable as methinks each driver responsible for own actions when in charge of any vehicle, to be a killjoy for a mo .i would be more concerned with complying with "construction and use " re any lights fitted to a vehicle , it is very specific, and those VOSA guys !! if they should get a hold of you (anyone ) well ! they sure know every law and they sure enforce them !(and as VOSA is now almost a private org. they sure are lookin for funds !

I have one -not fitted yet as I am swapping the rear hatch for a less rusty one and will fit the please pass lite when the jail bars go on.

If someone wants to pass they generally do despite road conditions "don't even think about it kn*bhead" would be more appropriate message but think it would take up too much room. Nice looking bit of kit
