Hi,
I have recently changed the plugs and checked the valves and adjusted them when needed, but they all seemed pretty much spot on and so the adjustments indid make were very minor.
When i then started the engine, expecting it to sound pretty much as it did before I changed anything. But Instead it it sounded very rough and back-firing.
Please does anyone know why this would happen? I have checked and adjusted the clearance on the new plugs as I thought this was the cause of the problem and as I replaced them one at a time the HT leads are in correct place. The only other thing I have not checked it the the distributor cap is on correct, but I 99% sure it will be.
Would the work I have done effect the timing and cause this problem? Please help!
Cheers kris.
