Hi everyone, although I am a new member I have been reading through all the topics with great interest. I have recently been following the posts about how to fit a birch ply headlining into an early bay. I have just finished mine and posted an entry onto my blog page so I thought I would share how I did it with you all. Hopefully it may be of some help to someone.

Thanks.

Awesome thanks.
I work at Timbmets the timber merchant did you buy cross grain flexible ply or the standard.
Only asking as I need to know what to borrow ;) any measurements would help as I can get it cut.

Hi Mattie, to be honest.. I don't know. All I know is, it was 3mm Russian Birch Ply.!

I noticed on your blog you have used a rockwool type panel insulation - have you checked it since installation for moisture residue?

Sweet looking bus and top work with the headlining!

Hi Stu, yes I checked before I started to ply line the side of the bus and considering my bay doesn't live in a garage it was completley dry... which surprised me!

Thats great news as I have heard some horror stories of insulation retaining moisture - probably that foil lining that did the trick keeping it sealed.
Mine is insulation free and bloody chilly in the winter!
