I have a knocking sound coming from my gearbox (72 crossover, standard 3 rib box). Worse when hot and sounds like a main bearing type "knock knock knock" except it slows and goes when the clutch is fully depressed. If I part press the clutch to push the release bearing into the pressure plate it still doesn't go (as I thought it might have been a rattly release bearing).
Any ideas? Everything works fine but I'm trying to figure out if I need to be concerned and set to it sooner rather than later...
