Re setting speedo / clocking. Can it be done????

Now i'm not trying to clock miles off my speedo (thats illegal :lol: )

I have bought an EB speedo with a trip Just want the match up the miles from my standard speedo on to the trip one??

Is it an easy job????should i bother??

any help/advice will be helpful.

the trip is around 40k higher which is why i would like to bring them both in line.

Spoken to J D O Instruments, they can do it but want £55

anyway know how to.

Get the end of an old speedo cable in a drill and let it run by clamping it 'on' I guess, till it gets the reading you want.

I genuinely wouldnt be arsed. :mrgreen:

if it was me i'd take a photo of old one in new out, new one in old one out, both next to each other preferably dated timed etc. then just keep the photo's and the old speedo as proof any new owner would understand

but i'm sure you just force them round or take it apart and put it back how you want it but its a pain to get the numbers lined back up which is an obvious tell tell sign.
