morning peeps. have just bought shed loads of seals for my bus.already fitted a new tailgate seal.have engine bay sliding door, and cab doors to do.i was under the impression they didnt fit using any glue as they retain themselves in their grooves on lips etc,but i was trailing this site last night and found someone asking what glue to use when fitting cab door seals. can anyone enlighten me as to wether they need glueing in or not? how silly am i? cheers steve.

Most of the seals don't require any kind of glue, as you say they just clip into place. However, the front edge of the door doesn't have a channel for the seal to clip into so glueing is necessary. I think most folk use an impact adhesive

They are not meant to, but its a hell of a lot easier if you do especially if your using repro seals.

Contact adhesive in a rattle can is good as it holds them in place but its weak enough so you can pull them out without snapping the seals.
