Apologies if this is in the wrong area or if has been asked before.

I'm a newbie to the scene & this is my first VW so will no doubt be asking a lot of questions. :?: :?: :?: :?:

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a panel beater in the London area, preferably SW, for some minor panel work.

I'm also wondering if anyone knows of any decent mechanics in the same area to sort out the toe in on the front wheels. The outside edge of the wheels are being chewed wickedly and I unfortunately don't have the facilities (or skills for that matter) to sort it out myself. I want to get this sorted before replacing the front wheels and get it all done before the weather starts to warm up. I'd be happy to go to my old mechanic, but I don't want to be wasting cash if he's going to have no idea.

Cheers for the help & hopefully get to meet some of you at the up coming shows.

Hi I have had good work done by Phil Norman, Brickfield Autos in Croydon 020 8689 8527, he has a website. Bodywork, welding and mechanicals, a very nice bloke, can be busy though. Also, mechanicals, Darren Campbell, VW Airfix in Carshalton, 020 8647 3898, again a really nice bloke. I can recommend them both from my experiences.

They are both top blokes,

Phil did my body work and respray on my van and it's an excellent job,

I have been going to Mark and Matt @ Autotechniks for all my mechanicals for 6 years or so, as they are the DADDIES when it comes to Type 2 modifications and performance, I seen busses splutter in and run sweet on the way out time and time again. Also I always feel it's worth paying more once than bodging three times ;)

Autotechniks are now based in Langley Vale Near Epsom Race Course - 01372 878 464

Cheers for the recommendations guys. Wicked
I just hope the van starts after sitting for so long over the holidays.
