Looking around at various suppliers of recon type 4 engines. Need a 1700/1800 for my crossover and wondering has anyone good/bad experience with companies? Was looking at Vega as I believed they were the best but most expensive but have seen many comments on poor quality/workmanship. Any recommendations? :?

Being type 4 everything will be more expensive or just hard to get hold of...I know as I've always run with a 2lt.
The Engine Shop does type 4 rebuilds but as with nearly all engine builders you will come across good & bad feed-back....my feed-back is that I personnally know of at least four type 1 engines that have no trouble (one in a bus nearly 10 years with an owner that buys the cheapest oil & changes it once a year if lucky)
