Reconnecting HX heating cables

All, I have got the HX's and about to fit. Can somebody please give me a clue on connecting the heater cables ?.
They are there and free moving but the kit I've got from VW Hertitage has alsorts of bits in it & the HX has got two connecting positions. A short direct connection & a long one with some type of linkage to fit.
Please help this is getting like the Krypton Factor !.

...use them on the short lever.

Those are the ones and I have used the shorter one's thanks.
I just need to find some new connection pipes from the heat exchanges forwards, both of mine are shot !.
