I have a 70/71 (built Nov 70 to 71 spec) campmobile and the front of the buddy seat and side of the sink unit have previously had holes cut to put speakers in so want to get them back to stock.
Where is best place to get laminate to do this that will match??

NLA

I recently repaired my buddy seat with the laminate from an old westy wardrobe to get the best match. The NLA laminate had a much more yellow tint compared to the original and looked a bit out of place.

Interesting, I thought the match was really good, though never seen them in the flesh.

Occasionally you'll see a damaged wardrobe/bed come up for sale, maybe a good option to buy and use whatever wood you can salvage to repair yours?

Cheers,

Alistair

Chatting to Jeffrey at BusOK they also do an earlybay laminate that is not the same as the one NLAVW supply so might be worth looking at that, i agree that the NLA one isnt a perfect colour match.

It's interesting that people are saying about colour differences as ours was matched to a non faded piece from an original van. It is difficult to match due to the different conditions vans have been in, as a bus that has lived its life in a desert will look different to a van that has spent its life by the coast. Sun and humidity seem to be deciding factors. It is interesting to hear that we are noticably off the mark though and its good to hear it from reliable sources too!

I will talk to Adam about this as we really want to make sure we get the best product for you guys
