I was having a look at the connections on the starter motor, when I noticed some fuel weeping from the fuel line just where it connects to the tank, closer inspection, showed several hairline splits. Quite surprised as fuel line only 4 years old (changed by nice AA man while I was camping!). I see that Just Kampers do 2 sizes, 5mm and 7mm, which do I need ? and how many metres?. I will do all of it just to make sure, no sense in trying to save a few pennies on something like this!

Hmm, I would have said 6mm ID....5 will be nice and tight.

Replace all of it, 2 metres of internally braided line should be plenty.

Get proper hose clips (10-12mm) NOT the jubilee clips JK sell as fuel line clips.

do not buy from halfords as not that good

Really? I got some good quality line and clips there.

generally don't use halfords unless I HAVE too! I was going to try local motor factor first. Been having a look at the layout of the pipes and I have realised that the metal section of pipe that should go through the tin ware, doesnt. it is still there but only a couple of inches from the carb, Rubber pipe through the tin ware, so much for Mr AA man!

I used these guys: http://www.t2customs.co.uk/FuelPipeKitSalePage.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; great kit with everything you need to replace the lot.

All done, got some 6mm hose from local motor partsplus loads of prpoer clips, less than a tenner, took an hour or so. Really surprised at just how rotten the old stuff was  . It even says unleaded on it and I watched the AA guy do it 4 years ago. just goes to show. Just get out there and check those fuel lines!!!!
