Replacing Inner Front Arches!!! Bumper Step Mounts!!

Hi Guys...

I need a bit of help please... I'm replacing the NSF inner arch behind the step... The OSF step has been replaced in the past!...

I'm going to replace this then finally fit the front bumper... Trouble is on the replacment and the replaced inner fronts no welded nut is in place for securing the steps...

Whats the norm here!? I'm guessing there are plenty of vans who weld the fixing in place as i have seen countless steps with ground of weld where the fixing is!...

Is there a plate availabe you can weld into place to still stick with the bolts!?...

Why not just drill two 9mm holes and weld two M8 nuts onto the repair panel in the correct position?

Was planning on doing that but what about the offside where the inner panel has already been replaced in the past!?
