Hi, just fitted a VW Jim remote servo to my 1970 bus, which has aftermarket discs on the front, and original drums on the back.
I have removed the residual pressure valve from the front of the master cylinder, should I do the same with the rear one or leave it in circuit?
Thanks,
Elliott.

Thanks Subheatadey,
I will remove the rear brake RPV as well, I couldn't see any reason for it to stay with the servo set up, but I wanted some reassurance before I gutted the valve! Thanks also for the reminder about the one way valve on the vac side.

Elliott

One of the reasons BPRV's are used is when the servo is lower than the caliper or slave cylinder, as fluid can flow back out of these resulting in a slight delay in braking. BPRV's keep the fluid pressure. You also need different rating BPRV's for drum and disc/ front and back. They are used a lot in the streetrod/hotrod world
