It seems that the back light on these is a bit hit and miss. Others have commented that it can fade after timeYours looks fab, me and Joey have the same unit and have minor irritations with them. Joey has a screen so bright on his that he has to throw a rag over it for night time driving and mine is so dim that I can only see anything on the screen in the middle of the night in absolute pitch black. So a question for you bud, is there a way that you’ve found to adjust the brightness of the display? As in could you find out ? The instructions on both of ours were written in jibberish and less than concise so maybe they’ve been updated praps? But they play really well and for next to nothing as well. I fully expected it to sound like a 1965 tiny transistor radio but have been pleasantly surprised. Quite a bit of continual / residual draw on them though.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, one of my ‘better’ purchases
Yup, that’s what I was exactly saying. I was kinda hoping that you might be able to find a mode or function on there to adjust the back light as yours seems to be in bettererer shape than ours or you might have some legible instructions to maybe help me out. If not, no biggy. It seems that the back light on these is a bit hit and miss. Others have commented that it can fade after time
After all these are made very cheaply in china. The light issue can be a problem but for less than £20 I can live with it if mine does the same

I have one of these and mine must have a dud screen as I can not read the LCD screen. this looks amazing.been looking a retro radios for the bus, previous own had cut a hole in dash to fit a cd unit. Saw a retro radio/mp3/bluetooth/handsfree phone/sd card player on Ebay £17.50. I know what you're thinking, well I fitted it this morning and was pleasantly surprised with the quality View attachment 3996View attachment 3996
I just bought another one for £15. It has a different user menu and is all blue lights on the facia. I can see this one no problem so the other was clearly a duff.I have one of these and mine must have a dud screen as I can not read the LCD screen. this looks amazing.

Me and Joey got the opposite problems, his glows like it’s radio active and mine can only be seen in the darkness of my garageFix the brightness by sticking a dark patch from a large photo negative I.e a cutout of an old medical x-Ray.
