Have seen a few pictures of Bays with stand alone Tacho's mounted on the dash and would really like to add one of these to my wish list.
How are they connected?where do you buy them from? and what size do most people use?
I've seen a few 2nd hand ones on Ebay that are 52mm but think this might be to small and look strange on the top of the dash.
Any ideas / photos

try sunpro a lot of people are running them quite happily, usually take a feed from the ignition coil and configure for 4 cyl operation...

theres plenty of auto factors sell the sunpro range plus loads on ebay some times at very good money even new....

Why not go with the VDO, I bet it's the same chinese crap as Sunpro. If you check Sunpro pages they have the manufacturing plant in China. I bought 4 years ago VDO temp and oil pressure cauges, and they were made in Malaysia. I think Autometer manufactures still in USA.

Been having a play today and something got me thinking, In the 3rd position on my dash at the moment is a Clock but im convinced that it doesn't work, does anyone know what size these are and would it be possible to replace this clock with a Rev counter?

the sale of your clock may well pay for your tach or see if someone will swap.... so many peeps want the clock working or not....

go with the sunpro dood they rule!
