About to embark on a bit of an epic journey down to Cornwall and am trying to organise extra roadside assistance.
Went on the Green Flag website and it seems they wont cover a pre 1984 vehicle.

Any ideas? I have rescue with HIC but want extra protection.

Cheers

Try the AA , No age restrictions on my policy and I checked it over the phone which they confirmed was fine :D

The AA.
They recovered me back from deepest darkest Wales when my clutch went, they bloke turned up expecting to see a VW LT35 for some unknown reason not a EB but hey ho.

I use Green Flag - My daily, My wifes daily and the bus are all covered. I have even called them out for the bus to which their service was ace.

I'd try calling rather than (computer says no) website

I just got Green Flag - personal cover for self and Mrs Stan. Covers you in ANY vehicle.
They do ask for your regular driver so I put down Mrs Stan's Picasso. All in for both of us 68 quid
inc recovery..

Cheers

Hi Simon
I have double cover a different way. Recovery included with the insurance policy including european, but I also have RAC included with my bank account. On the 2 occasions I have broken down I've used the RAC service .

Can be cost effective this way, might be worth exploring

Hi there,
I use the AA - broke down in May and the patrol who came out was something of an 'air cooled' expert. The engine got a real good once over for free :D - so to speak - (well there is the yearly membership I suppose)

Im on the RAC, helpful blokes. I didn't pay for overnight storage/recovery in my package, but when my bus caught fire, they took it to storage before taking it in the morning to a garage of my choice... I was really chuffed :D
