Ok it’s been a while since I posted , so our bus in finally back at home and now the hard work can begin!

I have now fitted my whitewalls that i waited an absolutely stupid amount of time for!

I have also started to puts some more bits and pieces together as well , I spent sometime today assembling the roof rack , and I must say that i am over the moon with how it’s come out!

Hi all just been working on the bus this afternoon . I haven't posted for a while so here is an update. The dash top, steering coloum, a window frams are at the powder coater. Hopefully it will look as good as rest of the bus!

The blue on the tyres comes off with water! It's a protection coat for the white walls.

I will post up again shortly with pics of the engine bay once the sound deadening and firetec system are installed .

just wish it was a driver so we could take it to Volksworld next week :msn4:
 
Very nice looking bus i must say, well worth taking the plunge and going for the full respray.

Hopefully mine will be ready for the paintshop some time this year :lol: :lol:
 
Just spend the whole afternoon building a cab door and ruining a new window felt , just a tip bend the new window felt around the window before trying to fit it. Anyway , I managed to build one door after building an striping the whole lot down three times!

New window rubbers , handle gaskets and door seals all fitted
Fitted a new rear heated window and rubber.

I have also had all of my steering column components powder coated, and applied the correct decal

What happened when you didn't bend the felt around the window??

some nice touches with the decals and powder coating peter :)
 
Ok just spent a lovely afternoon in the garage!
Things are starting to come together nicely, I purchased some 25mm self adhesive sound deadening from Soundsolution in Oxford. It is tricky to cut, but once you get the hang of it you can end up with this. I am pleased with the effect and it should work ok.

I ran out of steam at this point , must have something to do with drinking till 4.30 this morning!
 
Spent some time in the garage last night after recieving some parts from US yesterday , finally cracked the heater pipe issue when running a header type exhausts!
