I have removed my Danbury interior to spruce up the units and the flooring. The original ply floor and seating were fixed down with screws through the van floor which has resulted in rust that I will treat.
What is the best way of refixing the ply and the seats to avoid further rusting? I'm thinking of either using screws as before and treating with a shed load of sealant from below or using stainless steel bolts and nuts.
Cheers!

i would drill all the holes prime and paint inside hole and around floor in van waxoyl under side then bolt it down and then give it another waxoyl sounds abit over kill but better than rust and big exspense ofa new floor

My Westy floor is not screwed down at all - it uses the weight of the units to keep it in place

Bloody hell - and in the event of an accident all that heavy furniture will be smashing around your bus and family!

Quick edit - I am perhaps mistaken and guess your units are screwed down keeping the floor in place! Apologies

All the units in a Westy are bolted to the floor using T bolts and the units are bolted through the bulkheads the flooring is not screwed through the floor

i too have my floor "close fitted with no screws to secure it, and everything is built onto/from this base(18mm ply )

Where the units are not on T bolts they bolt to little boxes but these are held in with 4 small screws so even a wety has some screws through the floor.

On mine I intend to place a little wax around the boxes on the inside and then seal (sikaflex or similar) on the underside

If you were minded then you could weld in captive nuts
