Hi All I've just fitted a petronix billet distributor to my 1641cc with twin 34 carbs and I'm not shaw of the timing degrees if that's the right word for it I've got a timing gun but I don't no what to set it to. Many thanks Phil

Ps yes I now it's overkill but my distributor just packed in and I was in the right place at the right time and got this for a tenner more than a new standard one

If it has no VAC then it would be the same as an 009 at about 30 degrees at max advance

Sorry I for got that bit yes it's got no vac I did set it 29'degrees but it dint feel right I'll try 30degrees tomorrow thanks

I've set the timing and it runs brill infact proberly the best it's ever run however the down side is its a pig to start where as it use to start with one pump of the pedal and turn the key and off it went. Any ideas please cheers phil
