Shoe me your US number plates

Vehicles older than 73 are allow to display smaller plates a) if imported and b) the plate surround isnt big enough to fit anything else.

our MOT is much stricter here and i flew through with these on...

That's real good to know - I've been toying with the idea for a while,
So you're basically saying, If I get some US license plate surrounds
I shouldnt have to worry as long as I stick to black/white or black/beige?

I dont know the english rules, i do know our DVLA rules are stricter here and we are made go to govt test centers. i do know to be legal the plates must be white on black and inside a frame and imported. I passed MOT 4 days ago and nothing said.

used origional surounds just painted them, (no plates from States Plates) looks like mounted at the top to number plate brackets to move them away from the body, with a rubber block at the bottom to stop any movement
