In the picture below I notice that there is a line of bodywork 'protruding' out from under the front indicators. I thought this was a later thing.
My 68 ( G plate ) does not have this .
Anyone know the reason for having or not having this ?

its a replacement front panel. they only do late ones. most folkcut it off but every now and then you spot one where they have kept it for some random reason.

You'll also notice that the VW emblem is held on with two screws.
