Hello All,

I’m new to the early bay forum (now a defector from the SSVC forum - joking) having had and renovated several split screens.

I have an early bay which doesn’t have any keys, the steering lock is now on, what’s the best way of taking of the steering lock, or disabling it?

Thanks

Does anybody have any advice?
try this but youll need a key to start with maybe you have a spare one off a split

the ignition barrel does come out

I haven't worked on my steering lock so can't really help but I would imagine it could be taken apart so you can turn the wheel again.

Someone must know. :?

You could always try and get a key cut to code. If you remove your rear cargo door lock and have a look for a key code there, as this lock is rarely replaced and -may- still match your ignition.

Yep that last guide is what you need to do I'm afraid, it is easier out of the bus but with the steering lock on I'm not sure you can get the cover plate off and out, but the bent piece of wire is exactly right, we've been there and done that before
