This week we've collected a T2a as the basis for a new project. This pick-up will be subjected to our slamming urge! 8) (Slamming? see: http://www.bugpeople.nl)

It is a German original Westfalia wide bed pick-up, a rare model that isn't appreciated by everybody because of the somewhat wide wooden cargo bed. The bus has been imported from Germany into the Netherlands in 2006, the guy who imported it has done all the necessary welding, but kept the original used look intact. When the bus was running and passed its import check it was sold again, the next owner tidied up de gearbox and overhauled the motor. The bus was passed on, again, to a guy who used it as a daily driver, in Amsterdam.. The bus has had a lot of owners in the past years, so it's a kind off a slut.. That's why the name: Bitchcruiser! ;) She will be used by the complete Bugpeople crew, so she will live up to here name..

The last days we've used with the technical side of the bus, brakes, bearings, electrics, etc. With exception off the horn everything is back in working order, almost ready for an new MOT. When we've arranged the MOT the lowering can start, this ride begs to be lowered! Plans are: Adjustable and narrowed T1 front axle, dropped spindles, tubbed wheel arces in the front, channeled chassis in the rear. Now it's time to gather all the necessary parts.
