Had a go at fitting my tailgate i got of scott a few months ago and i just cant get it to align up right, it seems as if the hinges are pulling it to the n/s a bit.

It fouls the body work by a few mm.

When i get the door closed

Its as the thing is twisted opp end gaps are different but the beltline is level. Do i need to shim the hinges???

What am i missing are there other adjustments rather than just on the door hinge bolts.

Or is a matter of perservering, swearing a bit more and carrying on with it.

Still trying to do it.

Got it lined up, but still needs to move towards the o/s about 5 to 6 mm, still fouls the beltline on the n/s so cant close without pulling it to one side.

have you got the two rubber stops on the body and on the tail gate about half way up?

Come on this is realy annoying me now, no mater what i do it wont line up. Its as if the tailgate has been twisted from left to right.
Have put some packing washers in which helps a bit, but still catches the beltline on the n/s.

Thought that i would try and start on the easy door.
