Anyone heard of Techenders? I've been on their website and it's out of date. I fancy rolling my sleeves up and getting oily    Do these guys still operate? Is there anything similar in Yorkshire? Cheers

yes matey we do it twice a year next one in september - ignore the website it's only used as a guide now, it's held at victoria farm lutterworth http://www.victoria-farm.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; i'll be posting more details nearer the time.

No problems either me or tuesday wildchild will be posting more details nearer the time should anyone be interested, just as a heads up there's no restriction on numbers or type of vehicle camping is cheap and it's a chilled weekend, any questions pm me and i'll find out if i don't know the answer to anything you need to know. Rick.

Interested in this myself....hopefully be able to make it along and learn a thing or 2 about the basics....

is there a website or anything for this now? I used to go way back to techenders and was awesome. We all got together and made food for all and ended in a lovely fire :) Good memories

the old website is no longer used but still alive i belive, the format is much the same as it always was friday night arrival for those who want to, main jobs done on saturday, usually have a chinese on the saturday night, i usually bring a trailer load of wood for the fire, sunday is a finish off day if needs be, breakfasts available from the campsite, £7 a night non hook up £10 with, pay the owner pre-book not essensial but an idea is always helpful so we know.

Think me and my pal are gonna come to this.....me in my early. ...him in his late

bump for this, as i just had a message asking about it - come along learn/teach or chill - ask away if you need to know anything.

i did this years ago as i live just down the road in hinckley and before we had set up the "hubbadubba club" it was really informative and good people willing to pass on their knowledge to us lesser mortals just getting into it.

can only advise if you a have an aircooled engine you need to know how to look after it and or repair it when it won't start on the first day of your holidays (never happened to me, because i did techenders) i have a mechanical background but not on engines it will give you the confidence that they are not nuclear subs and with the basics and some common sense and a bentley manual you'll get more out of your ownership.

well done guys for giving your time and sharing your knowledge and insights.
