Hello.

My temperature gauge is playing up. It gradually increases beyond the temperature of the engine. I've checked the temperature of the engine with an infa red thermometer and it reads lees than the 250/300 being displayed. When I switch the headlights on the temp Gauge shoots up to max 300.

Obviously something is wrong. What do I need to do?

As buses don't come with temperature gauges I presume this is an aftermarket one?, sounds like it could be a poor earth or maybe a ballast resistor thats failed (if ones fitted).

Have to say I have a similar problem with my fuel gauge and headlights, put the headlights on and it overeads massively (not a good idea) but have not got round to taking the dash out to have a look yet!!

Hi Graham,
somebody said I may need a temp sender? would that be right? and what is it?
Also, I was reccomended by someone on here that you maybe the man to speak to about Replacing a headliner and a LHD Front Cab Mat, Brown.
