What a lovely early Xmas pressie.

Mine goes to the Bodyshop next Monday.

Awesome man! Hope yours doesn't take as long as mine! Good luck

Thanks, it probably will, but at least it's through the winter months for me. Hoping to see it back in April.

For some reason I'm Unsubscribed from this thread unbeknown to myself as to exactly why, so I've missed on the last months posts and setbacks, but I'm gladly up to date again now, and I'm chuffed for you fella!!

Finally.., it's beginning to come together!!
I know how frustrated and low you've been at times with this project, as we've kept in touch, but I think your past the worst now.....and I bet you can't think of any better christmas present than to have your bus back in your possession.
Like I say, I'm buzzing for ya dude!

Looking forward to seeing all the nice bits going back on now, to complement what looks to be a very nice spray job!
Love the colour too btw!
Thought you was having white on the top half tho.....:-?

Thanks dude I've got some bad news on the way for everyone! Really not happy! What else could actually go wrong for me with this paint!

So finally got the van back from the body shop! :)

But just before it arrives I receive a text saying that it's been scratched pushing it out this morning! only good thing about that is i don't have to pay for it! These are the scratches..

I went over the van like any other person and I found all of these bits too!

Needless to say I'm extremely pissed off and fed up with the amount of shit I'm getting that's to the bodyshops 'high quality' work and customer service. (Il never be going back accept for warranty repairs on the van after this huge cock up)

I suppose it looks good from a distance and I'm so happy I chose this colour in the end! I just want it finished looking as good as new on the outside! My deadline once again has to be moved thanks to the professional work standard my van has received! ( huge fucking sarcasm) how many more things can actually go wrong? Place your best people!!

Ah man i'm gutted :( I've been watching out for this thread for months and was so pleased it was back!

Keep smiling mate, think of the love when you'll have it on the road.

(could have no bay like me ha ha)

Thanks mate, I won't be having a bus again soon! I haven't spoke to the body shop yet because I probably would have taken the biggest hammer I own and aim for his head! At least I'm happy with the colour but yet I keep finding problems... More filler cracks under the paint

You are now experiencing the same kind of predicament I was in with Slamwerks 6 months ago dude.
You have to call them asap, make them aware you aren't happy, and why not.

Totally understand the pause in communication, as I was the same, I felt I had to give myself a day or 2 to calm down, else I would have ended up torching their place. . . . . With them still in it preferably! lol.

Gather all your facts, then call them tomorrow, see what they say. . . . . I just hope you get more resolved than I did!!

Just as I was, your probably feeling deflated, instead of ecstatic right now!

It isn't all doom and gloom tho bro, it looks clean, and it sure looks shiny, and with all the trims, nice rims etc. back on I'm sure you will fall in love with it. It's never going to be blemish free.
Good luck man :-?

That's very shoddy workmanship so feel for you mate. This seems all too common at the moment. As some have said it's fixable but just not good enough. Hope you haven't handed over all the money. You need to make yourself a big list of the defects and go back to them with it to complain.

Mine is going in for paint next Monday and I've learnt alot from some of the problems people on here have had. I'm making a clear list of what work should be done in finite detail. The bodyshop I've picked is very close to my home so I'll be checking the van step by step on a regular basis. If the work is not to my liking and to the list I've produced, I will be telling him to stop and rework. He wants a milestone payment before paint, so I'm going to insist I inspect the van in his spray booth which is well lit and hold back payment if it's not right. I'll also inspect again after primer. My final payment is then on collection.

So sorry for you mate, and just hope this doesn't happen to me. We put so much trust into these guys then this kind of thing happens.

Bad times man I hope you get it sorted I take they just forgot to paint the inside of the van ? !!!
Crazy how bad a job someone can do.
