Just wanted to say what a credit this forum is. I briefly stepped back onto a certain other UK Volkswagen forum to find nothing but bickering and name calling. Peace and love and all that.
Can honestly say the atmosphere is dead chilled.

Every forum is gonna have a clash of opinion and views just how it is but everyone's respected for what they think and like on here. However on VZI or Thesamba if you prefer Webers over Dell'orto's then your a !{*%#¥\[_<>¥ and you should ¥+=[{#?,'!£ then die :?

This forum represents exactly what I wanted to experience getting back into the VW culture. Good people willing to share stories and offer a helping hand to others in need. Unfortunately I live in south eastern Canada where the aircooled VW community is extremely small ... wish I was across the pond for the VW shows & meets. Earlybay FTW

Agree with everything everyone has said above.
I tend not to go to shows and stay over in case it's like a real life version of that certain forum, though I'm sure most aren't as mouthy face to face.

I think here is my kind of place.

True.
Sometimes Forums are a shield for the weak.....
But the VW Scene you can't hide from (We all attend shows!) So you sometimes have to think before typing.
The VW scene isn't aggressive (IMO) and nor should the Forums be, but thats life.

I'll stick with this one..

Echo 99% of what is said above. If anyone wants to camp out at the shows, maybe, just maybe, try and find a show where there is an Early Bay seperate bit of camping. It`s mostly just like on the forum but you actually talk to real faces and they is just as genuine up close and personal as they are on the forum. Some of us can cook too :shock: And some of us just think we can cook

love the forum- some great ideas on here. As a latecomer to the VW 'scene' its really been a help.

Been to a few shows this year and met some really cool people from EB

Agreed, everyone seems to be an 'expert' on vzi lots of opinions, and lots of people seem to have lost interest in the Justkampers forum??

As for camping at shows etc, I know there was a line up a busfest.

Just to quantify that - I used be a member of the DEEPFUNK forum. The jibes became so bad and insulting they shut the forum down! It got to a point were I was a nervous wreck trying to craft my comment in a way that would draw the least ridicule :shock:
