Hi all, I need to check my timing on a 009 (no vac) I remember reading that it should be set at around 28' advance @ 3000RPM, is that right? what would the RPM/timng be at idle?

Yep, that's about it.

Well, with an idle of about 850RPMs you could find the timing to be somewhere in the range of 0 to 10 degrees. But quite honestly, your timing at idle won't matter. It's the timing at 3Grand that's important.
