Spent a lovely day today finishing the rust painting under the van, and then getting soaked in waxoyl. But between those two, I thought I'd just change the seized heater cable. Wrong!

Any tips on getting the buggers out? I had attached some electrical wire to the flap end, so that I could pull it through and run grease along the tube, but the damn thing appears to be seized solid. I tried molegrips and force, but that's just broken the outer cable just inside the tube (at the front) - the inner is still ok. I have taken out the plastic ferrule bit at the flap end, btw so it's not that).

Any tips?

Cheers,
Nick
