i am about to put me fresh powdercoated rims back on the van when the tyres get fitted and wanted to know where is the best points to put the trolley jack?
i found when i took them off i jacked the back up but the suspension travel meant when i put the axle stands under the axle i could not get the tyres off the floor  .
does anybody know a safer/better position to jack from or will i have to lift van up on trolley jack and carefully put wheels back on without rocking it off the jack?
is it feesable to lift up from the engine to get enough height or is this a bad idea?
any thoughts.
regards

I wouldn't jack up the bus using the engine......

Put the jack where the main longitudinal chassis leg meets the rear of either of the jacking points, or under the bottom beam tube and then stick the axle stands under the beam/rear torsion tubes or main chassis legs.

Sparkywig is right.

Never ever jack under the engine to lift the vehicle.

Even if you made a clever spreader plate to prevent damage to the engine itself, you would still have the entire weight of the back of the bus hanging on the engine mounts.

These rubber bonded to steel mounts are designed to work only under compression, to support the engine.

They are not strong enough to support the weight of a vehicle whilst under extension.
