Trying to find VW Bay Reg: MLP 313L

I am trying to locate a VW Bay that my late father owned when I was younger. It was a LHD import from North America and was built in 1970. The registration was MLP 313L. It was dark green and first registered in the UK in 1972.

I would love to trace the current owner to see if they would be interested to sell, but the DVLA will not supply me with the current keeper records despite completing a V888 form.

If anybody could help me I would really appreciate it.
