can anybody help, just bought a 68 bay door complete with glass and quarter light opener, i need to remove glass before haveing the door shot blasted, the problem i have is the glass wont wind down it is stuck or siezed, anybody got any ideas how to free the glass or do i have to smash it, :?:

Hi
There is a cab door overhaul procedure here on Ratwell

http://www.ratwell.com/technical/CabDoor.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thought it might help with stripping it down, you will probably find that its just part of the mechanism that has seized and a bit of penetrating spray will sort it or its just jammed.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Probably the regulator seized , you can unbolt the glass from this, but don't smash the glass!

Thanks for all the info, but my main problem is that the window is stuck in the closed position and i cant get it to wind down to gain axcess to unbolt the glass, Help!

Do you know why its stuck?
Can you lube the regulator to free it off if its siezed? If the winder handle splines are stripped can you use mole grips?
