:?: Hi guys..Has anyone out there had any experience of fitting a Type 4 engine (mine is believed to be an 1800cc but possibly modified to an 2000cc) into a 1969 microbus? I am aware that the rear chassis members are different, and mine will certainly have to be repaired or replaced as they are rust ridden and badly holed. I'm thinking of using late bay chasis repair sections and the correct engine surrounds but am not entirely sure what's best. To make things easier I have acquired the correct type of gearbox with the longer splined input shaft but it is the actual fitting of the engine that bugs me so any advice/info will be much appreciated. Thanks!
