US spec headlights - help!

Hi guys,

Can anyone help?

I stripped down my 68s headlights today and they have sealed units with what looks like little glass bulbs that sit in a housing just behind the sealed unit. I need to replace both bulbs but can’t seem to find them online to purchase. Does anyone know where to find these or what to use as an alternative?

Most people change the entire units for rhd replacements. These were required for MOTs, I know thats not mandatory anymore, but having rhd lights in the UK is probably a good move.

From memory I think I changed my sealed USA units for Golf mk 1 which use the H4 bulb

Also work better at night which is handy

If its a US Import with the single retaining screw in the chrome bezel then as above either Golf M1 or 2 or Late Bay headlights, plug and play
