I've just purchased a new car which the wife is supposed to be picking up tommorrow, however, we've got a bit of an issue.
We're supposed to be part exchanging her car and whilst we were sorting out all the documents for the hand over we noticed that she has not changed her name to my name on the v5 (we got married last July) she's changed every other thing but that!

So, would the traders still accept her car even though its in her old name? Or are we going to have to apply for a new v5 just to send it straight back when the car is sold?

Any advice would be great, Brett.

They should accept it, just take the marriage certificate and proof of address as proof of her change of surname and what it used to be :D

I'm hoping they will, after all, they are a business looking for an earner. It's not in their interests to be picky surely?

Providing their happy that she is the legitimate registered keeper, they should be fine about it.
The marriage certificate and proof of address is probably a wise thing to take along.

Just remember to remind her to sign it in her maiden name

Did it go ok? They accept it? :D

Yes mate, wasn't a problem at all, it was a big company (Canterbury motoring world) so I thought they might not entertain it but they did, result.
