As this man knows 1300 and 1600 are not the same but will work

I've done a bit of research on the crank I have for sale in the Aircooled VW Engine Interchange Manual.

They quote ' towards the end of 1967, this crank was redesigned with further improved oil-ways and given the part number 311 105 101f. This 'f' crank is the finest factory crank available and was used in all aircooled vw's other than the 1200 type 1 and type 4/2a models from this date.................'

The engine this crank came from was a 70's 1300 engine and as one of the pictures shows has an 'f' stamped on it and the improved oil ways. Therefore form this book I believe from this should be the same a 1600 one :!:
