VDO Quarz Zeit AKA clock

Hi,

I've got a VDO quartz clock that is running at almost exactly twice as fast as it should. They say time seems to go faster the older you get, and maybe this is proof, but is there anything obvious that would make the clock run twice as fast as normal?

The obvious solution would be that it's a 6V clock.

That was my first thought, but it says 12V on the back of the clock, and I measured 12V across it. The little light is wired in too and works when the headlights are on. So all seems correctly wired.

There's sometimes a tiny adjustment screw on the rear, try turning that anti-clockwise.

Here's an image of the back of the clock, which screw would you try first? Its the black dial clock, which I've read was from '75 - '79. Thanks

The knob above 218/22/5 maybe an adjuster. Does it move at all?
