This is a very cool, straight, driving attention getting van!
Photobucket linkl with 100 plus pictures showing all angles, defects and blemishes, as well as underneath shots of front beam and rear tranny area etc. I know very little about dropping/slamming vans, this is the first lowered van I've ever driven, I drove my 4 year old son buckled in his car seat seatbelted up front the 1 mile to the baseball fields for his game today, and he loved it. a very cool ride, but not sure I want to go too fast in it just yet!
Starts right up, plenty of power, idles nicely, brakes nicely, steering is ok but turn radius is not like a regular van. a slight howl in tranny when clutch is pressed down all the way? No piopouts of gears though or other bad noises, just a slight quiet howl when pressed all the way down.
stock Radio works, ceiling spotlight works off of toggle, siren not working now, prior owner thinks its just a short/ground. This bus was even lower in the front, prior owner raised it a notch as well as put on some bigger tires. Smaller front tires included, drop it back down easily for an even lower ride!
Battery tray looks to be replaced, rust hole in front passenger floor, driver floor looks like a reinforcement panel placed underneath.
Nice rockers, corners, nose, roof etc.
I noticed in 1 pic that it looks like 2 holes on passenger floor area from underneath shot? I will take more pics tomorrow of this area.
Cool 3/4 length rack with large aluminum panels on the side for advertising???
Cool hitch set up in back w/ plugin and beetle light housing. Other cool accessories as seen in pics!
Dash piece is included, could use a better one?
Paint has been spray canned in areas, gives it a very nice look, they did a really sweet job making this bus look the way it does.
New headliner, new underseat front matts, needs new front seat covers.
Description is the best I can do for now, I'll add info as it comes up.
Front driver door sticks, keys for all the doors, aftermarket ignition in the proper place.
$5900 US, and shipping to Thamesport is $1600 (((( 4500 Pounds to Thamesport))))or Derbyshire $2100. All taxes and import duties etc. are the buyers responsibility, there are a couple of forums on early bay to help you estimate your costs, I can also refer you to a few excellent VW Restoration Businesses there in the UK to assist you in guiding you through the process as well as taking care of all your service, MOT and Restoration needs.
Feel free to call my cell w/ questions and or email for picture requests.
Open to a reasonable offer.
Thanks for looking, and keep on bussing!

Nice Bus Darren, presume duties and fees in this country are on top of prices quoted.

As you say 'very cool' , luv the Beetle engine lid light cover adaption on the rear bumper :) - but not sure about the aerodynamic qualities of that roof rack  , best Patina ever.................good luck -JIM.

The price offerred does NOT include the VAT, import duties, nor MOT. As stated in the ad, there are some great VW Restoration Specialists/Traders throughout the UK that can assist you with this process as well as getting your van registered, MOTed, and Restored as you see fit. Some of them are also excellent negotiators that can save you on purchasing price as well as all the above mentioned fees as they know and understand the tricks of their trade.

As per the "rack" and it's aerodynamic capabilities, only two small and strategically placed bolts on each panel are keeping them in place. Removal is at buyers discretion, any rollovers caused by their removal are the new owner's responsibility, and once removed, their special effect can no longer be replicated.

I'm open to offers,
cheers!

Hiya...

What is your average delivery time? ie. whats the soonest you can get it here!

thanks

Ben

Hi Ben?,
how fast can you pay me?
Delivery time is approx. 4 weeks on the boat to Thamesport. I can have delivered to the Long Beach Port within a few days of deposit and ship bound within the week. The same as far as the Derbyshire.
Let me know if you have any other questions, my cell is in the ad.
thanks

I know... extreme mesures were taken to raise the cash that quickly...

I'll be ok with one lung, non??

Congrat's mate, apart from a very cool appearance that engine bay looks nice and clean & tidy - someone appears to have looked after it. So maybe brakes and steering to be "enhanced" a little and you are looking good  , enjoy...........JIM.

That is one nice bus. looks super straight and solid, and a great price to boot! well done :D
