Below is a review by one of our attendees in 2013 which hopefully gives a flavour of what we're about -
'Year number 5 for Volkspower Redcar & this year was an explosion of sunshine and aircooled VW's to celebrate the fact, Helped by the blazing sunshine, but this years Volkspower definetly saw it move up a gear to make it a must go show, not only for all the northerners.....but anyone wanting to attend a great show...all only 5 mins stroll from the beach front at Redcar
I spent a LOT of the weekend monkeying around in my new tree house / penthouse suite, enjoying the view - the splitty even managed to haul the caravan home - well done splitty '
There was a Massive turn out for the show & shine on the Sunday with a good variation of vehicles and well done to Paul & the show sponsors for stumping up cash money prizes to add a bit of excitement - well done to all the well deserved winners.
Some shows have started losing the aircooled presence, but not at Volkspower, everywhere you looked VW classics to enjoy, the local clubs all represented , well done to the NEVW club who worked throughout the weekend raising lots of money for charity, Angels who once again scooped the best club display on the Saturday, an interesting mix of vehicles from the local hotrod scene and even nuttier collection from the Cruizados Bicycle club (bonkers) as well the Flat4dubs who had a large club plot and crazy antics as usual
There was a whole load of great entertainment throughout the weekend including the now compulsory Skabeat on Saturday night (the show even had its 'adults only' Thursday night if you wanted an extended weekend.
Huge well done to Paul and the Volkspower team, you really pulled it off this year - best show of the year so far me '
