**WANTED ** Genuine VW Heat Exchangers

Hi All,

Bit of a ronseal thread really,

I'm after a decent pair for my bus which is being restored at Midland Early Bay, I'm going to Dubfreeze so can meet there if possible,

How do you identify genuine exchangers?

Original ones have more fins and are much longer, they nearly touch the outher skin of the heat exchanger.
Repros just have a few thick fins and they are about 1.5-2cm long.
Here is a cross section of a original heat exchanger.

Also the inner form of the j-tube that runs trough the fins is designed so that it gives more heat to the fins, the round tube under the fins is a cross section that is inside the repro ones.

Well worth getting hold of the originals. I had a pair fitted and the difference is amazing. Good luck - I found mine on here.
