OK I'm after a web site for the mrs....

whats the best way to go guys 'n' gals

do I get a local builder to build up a site then get someon to host it

or do I use one of the many on line web hosters/domain name registers with all there easy build software and which ones got a decent rep out there?

cheers in advance

If you want someone to build it, give me a shout - I do it professional in PHP (scripting language) and have done for 10 years - sure we can work out a favourable rate!

Hosting wise, you can get good hosting packages very cheaply depending on what you want really.
For non critical sites and systems I have used http://www.uk2.net/web_hosting/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; before now.

Thanks

R

I've used http://asp-host.co.uk/ for the past couple of years. Started off with the developer package as I wanted to mess around with developing some sites, but now on the home package. UK based and I've had good support from them in the past.

I use oneandone.co.uk to register, they have an offer of 99p for the first year. They never try to stuff you for big renewal fees like some do. I've used them for about 6 years, never had a problem.

I host with http://www.brinkster.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
