welding

Hi Guys

new to the site and just want to get a few costs so i can budget

Been looking at a few buses at within my budget but some need welding which i havent done before and wouldnt know where to start

Just wondering what would be a rough figure by a garage to weld the outriggers, chassis and rear trays/corners

just an idea would be great

Hi there Bristol Sparks,,,, have you got a bus yet ?? If you is in Brizzal, you can have a look at my donor and see rust at it`s best, might give you an idea what to avoid. I`m in Kingswood / Warmley area. As for costs that is a really hard one because you never get to see all the rust till you open it up (can of worms). You don`t see many that are just weld this bit and that bit, as it usually goes on and on, a bit like my reply :lol:
If you have one already then I`m sure someone will recommend a local welder to you, I`m doing mine by myself but it is really time consuming, good luck !! 8) 8) 8)

Im in filton myself. No not yet got a bus, thinking maybe in the new year as been looking at a few today and think i need to save a little more cash.
Im new to the resto scene and not really done any welding etc, only done a few mods on my cupra but this is a different league.

Would love to come over and see your bus sometime just so i know what im getting myself into lol

Hey this is getting weird ,,,, it`s like a BAY dating site.. I`m on the bus all weekend so you can come on over and help me get rid of some Nescafe. And as for you Wiggy !! you know just to turn up whenever you feel like it. Why I thought it might be of some good looking at Madonna (my donor) is there is nothing hiding anything and you can see metal (occasionally) rust (plenty of that) filler and bodges .
