So am planning my winter work already.....and can see rust on the panels will be the flavour of the day and need to get it sorted, lots of little patches here and there. My Bay though is not standard VW paint and I can't afford a total respray but need to touch up the areas that I will work on.....any one got an idea of somwhere that matches paint.....I have exhausted the..'think this is the colour, I'll buy a can of that approach...' with no success....there must be a quicker way of doing it?

Any ideas?

not sure whereabouts you are but our paint supplier L.E.Went [croydon] will scan a peice of your van....take off the fuel filler if its early......or engine lid if its late.
The read out gives them the nearest paintcode...usually a bang on match.
They will make this up in aerosols while you wait or in 2k as little as half a litre........I'm pretty sure most auto paint suppliers will do this.

good luck

I am down in Horsham, so Croydon is only 40 mins away, worth a trip though......fuel filler it is then.

Thanks.
