anyone bought new wheels recently, what did you get and what sort of deal did you get on em??

I don't how you feel about MWS but keep checking their site, They have sales on all the time. I know they are not the best but if you end up paying £50 a wheel for some gasburner like i did then its worth ago. Why don't you wait till vowo vwheritage said they may be knocking £100 off their wheel at the show.

im in no hurry, wont be getting any till prob VoWo show anyhow, all depends on what i decide on

as usual, i tend to change my mind a lot :lol: :lol:

i wont be going narrowed , so will need a good et, MWS look to be ET6, but SSP/Heritage are ET20 on their fooks

I bought some starmags from mws for my mk1 caddy 2 years ago, they have been on the truck ever since and still in perfect condition.
Paid £390.00 with tyres and bolts delivered.

6 months ago bought some replica vw wheels from wheelbase for £375.00 for my wifes beetle and the laquer has already bubbled up on all 4 wheels.

I keep seeing bad comments online about midland wheels but Ive never actually spoke to some body who has had a problem with there wheels. I know I would use them again.

...got some rather nice airevo 5x112 polished fuchs....et35 so will tuck under very well.......Lesley had sale on over Xmas so came in at c£80 per wheel including delivery from Belgium

I bought a set of chromed fooks from VW heritage in September. Paid the going rate but with a 2 year warranty on wheels including finish, I was happy.

I have original Fuchs on the '63 cab' and they are almost identical in appearance. They also fit standard bay stud pattern so no need for adapters.

Some heritage stuff I have thought was poor quality, these are spot on so far but I suppose time will tell........

how do they compare to the ssp fooks, et looks better but whats the quality like?

they look good to me...I was told when I asked the same question the quality is very good and looks are good :?

They all tucked up in a box and without and orginal/spss to compare would be hard for me to say about how genuine they look

et is what sold them to me....plus when they were on sale I paid (even with shipping) MWS prices so much cheaper than spss

I got my SSP BRM's from heritage at the Brighton Breeze last year.
They were doing a buy 3 get 1 free at a few shows so I saved a ton :lol:
Give them a shout to see if they are doing it this year....I know they were taking pre-orders for the Breeze as they put it up on Facebook....I missed this bit so got down there stupid early to catch my set!
