Loads more rides inbetween, need to find some more pics

I like the mini, used to have a pick-up and a clubman great fun to drive.
My last project was turning this wreck

into this

Then sold it to buy my van "what was i thinking about" but ha ho its all good,at least i will be able to get the whole family in when its finished :D

I built up a few scooters and did a bare metal resto on a 1974 Vespa Rally 200 as my 'piece de resistance'.

I then did a 78 bay before I got my current van, alongside a lot of 'fixer uppers'.

My first taste was heling my old man tighten nuts and bolts on this when I was a kid.....

Then we Built a couple of kit cars - Eagle jeep and F**king fast Westfield (Hyabusa motor!!!) when I was 18.

Then I resto'd this.......three times after wrecking it in forests....

002.jpg

Then inevitable return to aircooled with our current project (and keeper/heirloom)

don't know if restore is the right word had several series land rovers over the years that i have repaired, offroaded, repaired, offroaded etc great fun though

I did another bay, but it was a stock height 73 late bay, no piccies tho

When i was 15 i did a 56 Split screen Morris Minor, then about 18 years ago i did this 71 Bug:

Can't beat the old fords all my mates at the time had them Mk1-Mk2 escorts Mk3 cortinas, and I had a mini
.My first car bought when I was 15 for £50.00,spent 3years doing it up(no rush I hadn't passed my test :( )
clubman.jpg

Wrote it off a year later and bought a capri 1600 sport :D
Bought this 1500 F plate bug for £125.00
freg.jpg

still had the original front :| ,used to turn the front wheels boot it and it would go straight on  .Altered the front loads of welding paint ended up like this
freg-1.jpg

Sold it for £1500.00 and a mk3 escort
Bought this 1200 72 bug for £150.00 out of some ones front garden
72l.jpg

721l.jpg

Put the long bonnet off the F reg bug on it,had the front beam lowered by (Bol) on here I think its the same guy from Bolwagen in Sheffield.Fitted some centerlines to it and I had to adjust it at its highest setting so I could put the shell back on
722l.jpg

723l.jpg

Took these photos to show bol the colour and get a rear light lens, and some guy look'd over my shoulder and said "is it for sale".Next day it was sold just as it was in the last photo :D

if you dont count customers stuff ,never restored any MODIFIED loads, dont do stock :!: unless you count the crossover i rebuilt with front panel stoved in and plywood hardtop, yes your eyes are ok PLYWOOD fitted 96 devon poptop with danbury interior cant find pics ,sold to lads in hereford dont know if any one on here has got it light blue and white, brown /yellow pop top canvace?

Can't claim too much credit as I just asked the skilled guy to weld and paint it in the colour of my choice :D - did the nasty stripping down to a shell and fiddly putting back together, finding loads of missing bits (about 30% of the car!), getting everything working after it had been welded and painted and putting my touch to it ;)

74 baja. This was a sedan with a 1-pc 'glass front that a local stereo shop used to try out products in. It had power windows, 9" TV in the dash and was hacked up bad with spaghetti wiring. Someone tried to shave the doors but did it badly. I turned it into a baja and started fixing it up but sold it before I finished.
