HI putting a big engine in my earlybay is getting a little closer , what kind of exhaust have you guys been fitting ? still havn't made up my mind if it's going to be merged or a 4 into 1 (doing without heaters may decide it )

Is the engine an upright ar a pancake and what size? I'm guessing its an upright since this is EarlyBay but you never know. On this side of the pond there are some that really favor the larger FI engine. I'm running a merged header from BugPack on my 1835.

2.2 big 8) or 1914 big?

these guys have won the first big engine build-off in california and consistently build the best for power. They only use A1 mufflers like the one jabbo sold me 8)

Qualitaaaay! Phat and looks the nutts.

I think they did a test of several headers and muffler combos and A1 came tops in several variations. build off article here http://www.cbperformance.com/Feb2007c.asp

hi, it's only 2007cc big fk8 scat heads twin 44's, the other thing is the engine brace bar and how to fit it around the full flow take off ?

You will have to fabricate your own brace bar. The full flow & merged system hit everywhere.

Partly on the same issue, is there an adapter for rear engine brace available, if there's no mounting points for it on the case?

I just bought 1776cc engine out of a beetle, but I'm not sure if it has places for the rear brace. it has also fullflow exit from oil pump cover. Have anyone made their own bracket/adapter? Pics?

I'm planning on putting in extra oil sump, so I cannot use the bolts under the case for mounting a support.

Just found this one also:

When there's a bill, there's a pay. Or how does the saying go?
