Got a very nice choice to make in the next few weeks...have saved my pennies and I can either buy a Stainless Steel Sports Exhaust Single Quiet Pack or a Gene Berg shifter...

I currently have stock items for the exhaust and shifter...so both would make a difference. Just can't make up my mind up on which one to have.

comments taken on board!

Condition of exhaust?

Comfort of existing shifter?

Which one do you think will give you the biggest smile whilst using it?

Ok I think you've now answered your own original question...

the current condition of both is OK so I guess its down to the smile factor...

Shifter - if it the current shift is not to good!
'Zorst - if holed or scruffy (& quiet...... )

Tough call I think :(

I'd recommend the locking shifter if you go for one. It's more but also helps prevent someone knicking it as locks in reverse.

Also with the shifter you will get a better return if you come to sell 2nd hand at a later date.

does my box need to be tight already before having a new shifter? Mine is a bit sloppy but finding the gears is quite easy. Like the idea of a locking one.

Get the shifter.

But make sure all the bushes are in good condition. There is no point having a swanky shifter bolted onto rubbish.

Just to be different, I don't like the aftermarket shifters so I'd go for the exhaust.

anyone got a UK or US link to these shifters? cheers

Follow the link on the link

You tend to find that UK suppliers just change the $ for £ if you get my drift. If you know someone going to the states get them to bring one back in their suitcase. Just get berg to deliver to their hotel.

you've got a sloppy box?!

I'd go for the shifter myself, I always find with new exhausts they're great for a week or so, then cos you don't really look at them on a regular basis you kind of forget about them.

You'll notice the shifter everytime you drive it.

Kempy - it looks like the locking shifter is twice the money on geneberg.com...is that right?

Cheers Steve - I want the locker but I'm just trying to justify the extra cost....The stadard one from the US is about £150 delivered but the locker is about £250...

I might save up a bit more cash and get the locker...
