I have an issue with my starter motor or solenoid or wiring. Below is a picture of the starter motor. (Is it a Bosch?)

I have labelled the terminals A, B and C.
I think that the terminals are as follows
A Ignition switch
B Battery live
C Solenoid output (live when energised)
I am after some guidance as to what to check and how to verify the solenoid is ok (typical coil resistance?). Also if it is ok what can I check next. The van is a 1972 1600 crossover.
